Her children (as long as they are obedient) never go w/o out anything in life. We tend to be very successful. She was a very willful orisha they say that this Yemaya "se quedo en el mar de su propia soberbia". Actually this is a very famous saying about this Yemaya in Cuba. Her favorite adimu is ICE believe it or not. In the catholic church (even though I don't believe in the mixture of orisha and catholism anymore) is Nuestra Senora de las Nieves. She is the equivalent to Ezili Danto in haitian Vodoo. She rides horses. Ogunte's messengers are the snakes and mice. She is a very violent aspect of Yemaya, very forceful. She was linked to the Carabalis and Congos therefore they say she was a palera as well. In palo Ogunte is called Luna Nueva; there are palo patakis where she saved the world from destruction and brought a new age to humanity thus the name Luna Nueva. Unlike the regular, Calunga (which in fact is the horizon of the ocean) or Madre Agua.
Ogunte was born in the odu Okana Gio. The children of this Yemaya receive the orisha Coire which is the only son Ogunte had on the earth. She takes extra tools of reinforcement as well. She is the TRUE owner of coral. She is also a business woman. I can go on and on but don't have enough time. Hope this has been helpful.
