Link: http://www.youtube.com/v/L8jM32AQGSg This was the first face to face encounter at City Hall. About 100 outside protesters from several local churches. Inside over 300 stuffed the halls and chamber. Police and k-9 units covered the entire building. The meeting lasted over three hours. Rules on amount of speakers were lifted --from a standard three persons to UNLIMITED. Each person had a three minute time limit: Hialeah police chaplain, local Baptist minister, animal rights advocates, and political supporters, blasted the church presence. Screams full of hate and offensive language hammered Pichardo for almost the entire three hours. Police were forced to escort Pichardo through the mobs of people and to his car. From this point the City took action and passed three ordinances banning religious animal sacrifices in other hearings. CLBA then sued on First Amendment grounds in federal court. A few months before the Pope visit: Church wins and the City issues the Certificate of Occupancy. Local Catholic Church panics. They issued a letter to all funeral homes saying that they would not perform services on santeros --that is, if santería services would also be included. Peter Jennings [ABC World News] visits CLBA and depicts Santería as competition among Hispanic Catholics. After the Pope visit they lauched a campaign during Sunday masses against Santeria. I get such value and blessings from watching our spirituality of IFA/orisa on YOUTUBE!!!! I'm spending alot of time therein!!!!! Its so much better than the t.V., prime time line up or daytime or nightime anytime online has a termendous blessing for those whom will watch, learn and listen to IFA. Thank Olodumare!!! And thank you OBA Pichardo on YOu Tube also!!!! some other komrads of mine have been working on some Persudo- mystery plays online at youtube about the stanza's of IFa ( ie ORi and ifa) presented sorta kinda like a music video....... and it is all truely wonderfull and so much better than another MTV video.....because it has spiritual value and a special blessings wrought for those whom are pure in heart to watch!!!!! Watching and learning all this new stuff on youtube is keeping me might busy!!!!! Thank you Oba Earnesto for again leading us in the right direction.
